The course prepares doctors to support educators, helping embed DAFNE into their service in addition to the knowledge and skills to support those that have completed a DAFNER course.
This is a 5-stage course delivered over 11 weeks and entails approx. 53 hours of learning. Further detail of what the RDDP involves can be found by downloading the Remote DAFNE training summary at the bottom of this section.
The RDDP is for consultant endocrinologists/diabetologists, specialist registrars and GP’s with a special interest in diabetes. You do not have to be attached to a DAFNE service to access this training.
The training is provided free of charge to doctors working in:
- DAFNE services
- Publicly funded health services in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Crown Dependencies.
The RDDP is accredited by the RCP for 53 learning hours.
